Trekking Day 2

2:00 am Wake for a hot drink and light breakfast.
3.00 am Under the cover of darkness, you start the Rinjani summit ascent. The trek starts with a moderately steep section, followed by an easier but longer stretch. The final approach involves a challenging steep climb on loose scree.
6.00 am You arrive at the summit of Mt Rinjani (3726m) to be rewarded with a beautiful sunrise, panoramic view of the islands of Lombok, Bali, and Sumbawa and of Lake Segara Anak.
From here we return to camp to enjoy our well-earnt main breakfast at about 8.00 am.
